Well, I’m not one to let you down. I have teamed up with the folks over at DnBRadio to bring The Cycle back to your eardrums. Wednesday mornings, starting bright and early at 8am (2pm UK), I’m going to be dropping the freshest of the fresh drum and bass.

It’s been a long, trying couple of months since I stopped doing my show. For a while, I thought that maybe I had lost the love for it, but I really think that it was all a matter of just having someplace to call home again. I feel that DnBRadio holds the same values that I do — all about the music — and it seems like it’s going to be a great match.

So there you have it, folks. I’ve chosen the timeslot carefully, in order to be able to accomodate my UK friends as well. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

One love –

Brad

I often get asked, during the show, if I’m playing anywhere anytime soon. So here’s the low-down:

I started DJ’ing when I was 18 years old and in the Army. I had all the time off that I could want, and took bookings when they were available.

After leaving the Army, I worked professionally as a club DJ for a number of years and, again, took bookings as they were available.

As I’ve gotten older, and into the career field of nursing, I’ve found that I typically have less and less time to accept bookings. However, that said, I won’t turn down a booking that meets these minimum requirements -

My cost MUST be 100% covered.

If it is for an event that I can drive to/from (typically 3 hours or less), then I require gas costs and hotel costs to be reimbursed. Please don’t offer me $100, flat rate, to play your club event that’s 3 hours away.

International bookings are welcome. However, please understand that this requires me to take time off of work, as well as travel. Travel expense, plus lodging must be covered, and my standard rate for an international event is $250 to cover the cost of a day of missed work.

For bookings within the Continental US and Canada, airfare must be covered, as well as lodging. Standard rates for these are $250 and $200 in a weekend or weeknight respectively.

I have made, in the past, and will continue to make exceptions to these rules on a case by case basis. However, please do not plan to book me for your event under the premise of being an exception.

For promoters who are seriously considering booking me, please contact me via the Contact link on this site, or email spinn @ bassdrive . com for my complete promo kit. This kit includes the artist rider that details my equipment requirements, all promotional text as well as photography/graphics work.

I love this music, and I love playing it. I don’t ever expect to make money from it, but I have to have my costs reimbursed because, like you, I have bills to pay.

So to make sure that you’re getting all of the latest content, check your subscription settings:

My apologies for the hassle, but this method allows me the most control over how the feed is sent to my subscribers and what happens with each episode.

Thanks for listening!

OK, so we’re not really on the road very much this time, but we are moving! After much trial and error, lots of visits and lots of frustration, C and I have finally found our new home. We’ll be living about 5 minutes South of downtown Nashville, in Williamson County, TN. Without argument, Williamson County has the best school district in the state…and living 10 minutes from my office won’t be so bad, either.

That said, this week’s Cycle will once again come to you from Casa del Squake as I put the finishing touches onto the new Cycle Studios. In all honesty, it’s not even finishing touches on the studio, as that’s pretty well laid out. What we’re waiting for is Tuesday, when AT&T will come install our new U-Verse Internet connection.

For those of you who might be considering a move soon, let me encourage you to look at Nashville. The city is amazing. You get that Southern hospitality feel, with easy access to everything you’d want out of any metro area. I’m honestly shocked at how much I love living here. There’s (of course) an amazing music scene in this town, but you might be surprised to learn how little of it is Country. On any given night, the streets of Nashville are alive with pumping, driving bass. It’s no wonder that I’m blessed to call this city home.

In case you haven’t noticed, I’m a slacker. Well, not really, but I certainly am when it comes to this website. I tend to forget to update, break promises about updating and generally just leave it sitting. However, with the new show time, I know that a lot of my old listeners are feeling a bit left out in the cold. I certainly want to avoid this scenario and, that said, I’m vowing to be better about the updates.

So watch this space! I have a new host and LOTS of bandwidth to blow, so I’ll be linking more media from here and updating the podcasts more often.

To those of you who have stuck with me – my thanks. To the new faces – welcome.
