Booking Information

I often get asked, during the show, if I’m playing anywhere anytime soon.  So here’s the low-down:

I started DJ’ing when I was 18 years old and in the Army.  I had all the time off that I could want, and took bookings when they were available.

After leaving the Army, I worked professionally as a club DJ for a number of years and, again, took bookings as they were available.

As I’ve gotten older, and into the career field of nursing, I’ve found that I typically have less and less time to accept bookings.  However, that said, I won’t turn down a booking that meets these minimum requirements -

  • My cost MUST be 100% covered.
  • If it is for an event that I can drive to/from (typically 3 hours or less), then I require gas costs and hotel costs to be reimbursed.  Please don’t offer me $100, flat rate, to play your club event that’s 3 hours away.
  • International bookings are welcome.  However, please understand that this requires me to take time off of work, as well as travel.  Travel expense, plus lodging must be covered, and my standard rate for an international event is $250 to cover the cost of a day of missed work.
  • For bookings within the Continental US and Canada, airfare must be covered, as well as lodging.  Standard rates for these are $250 and $200 in a weekend or weeknight respectively.
  • I have made, in the past, and will continue to make exceptions to these rules on a case by case basis.  However, please do not plan to book me for your event under the premise of being an exception.

For promoters who are seriously considering booking me, please contact me via the Contact link on this site, or email spinn @ bassdrive . com for my complete promo kit.  This kit includes the artist rider that details my equipment requirements, all promotional text as well as photography/graphics work.

I love this music, and I love playing it.  I don’t ever expect to make money from it, but I have to have my costs reimbursed because, like you, I have bills to pay.
